Acacia and Pine had a great trip to Warwick Castle this week. We arrived and headed straight to the ‘Time Tower’ where we learnt about the history of the castle since the first settlement as a motte and bailey castle. We then headed down to the arena to watch a live jousting display telling the story of ‘The War of the Roses’. We watched the spectacular display telling us about the ever-changing dialogue between the The House of York and The House of Lancaster. Next, we had lunch sat by the river where the birds of prey show was taking place. After lunch it was time to go and watch the legend of the trebuchet. This was a very enjoyable presentation with lots of drama and explosives! After a quick visit to the Gaol we went into the gift shop which seemed to be one of the most popular parts of the day! We arrived back at school after a very enjoyable day.
