The girls’ started by fielding first and although misfielded some balls initially, our play improved throughout and Quinton were only able to score 6 and a half rounders.  The girls’ decision-making in the first innings batting was excellent with full rounders scored by Chloe, Tiya, Alexa, Maya, Amaya, Emily and Phoebe, leaving us in the lead by 4 rounders.

In the second innings fielding Tiya and Maya in particular, demonstrated consistently excellent decision-making, with great movement and skills shown by Amaya, Iman and Alexa.  The game was close, with Quinton closing the lead but we were able to keep the fielding tight during the last few Quinton bats and maintained the lead in a closely run game.  This left the final score 12 and a half rounders to 12 rounders to The Grove.  The player of the match was awarded to Gabriella by Quinton and special mentions also go to Tiya and Maya who both played an excellent game – well done girls!
